Yesterday’s studio prep didn’t quite go to plan… 😅
I was happily sandblasting a batch of beautiful pieces made by customers from private workshops, music on, in the zone… when I instantly felt the pressure drop on the machine. Not ideal when you’ve got someone’s finished piece in your hands!
Quick reflexes kicked in, I pulled the piece safely into the glove to avoid blasting the wrong side and turned the pressure down. Opened the cabinet to investigate and… yep, the pipe had completely blown off under pressure 🤦♀️
Cue 30 minutes of wrestling with hoses and fittings (definitely not the glamorous side of glass work!), but we’re now back up and running 💪
All part of the process, plus a reminder that behind every finished piece is a lot of unseen graft… and the occasional battle with machinery!
