Did you know that a group of hummingbirds is called a charm? I just love that!

Here they are - my charm of hummingbirds! I've already introduced the first 3, and here's the fourth, alongside its charming friends.

I have always appreciated the power of art in a healthcare setting, and, having spent an awful lot of time in hospital waiting rooms and wards, I love seeing something beautiful and meaningful on display.

For my first exhibition - Home, Health and Hope (2026/27) at the Royal Derby Hospital - I chose to focus on the theme of hope. Not just because of my name, but the importance of having hope.

Through my collection of hummingbirds, each with their own unique symbolism, I'd love to bring sparkles, joy, and of course hope to patients, visitors and staff.

I embrace these changes through art. Look closely and you'll see the cracks, the scratches, the chips. Look again and you'll see the whole.
