Great to see that Spring has finally sprung. And we've got some lovely new ranges in store now at The Donegal Shop Derry.

Brightly coloured enamel jewellery including shamrock pins and hand painted silk scarves in richly coloured greens - perfect for St Patrick's Day.

New range of Irish language cards - colourful and funky, plus some gorgeous prints of Grianan, Mount Errigal and St Brigid.

Our best selling collection from Inis, with some new additions to this range of Irish seaweed inspired bodycare and perfume products.

Looking forward to St Brigid’s Day on 1st February and the beginning of Spring, the season of hope and new life.
This day is significant for its connections to the goddess Brigid and the agricultural cycle, symbolising renewal and the arrival of longer days.
Born in the 5th century, St Brigid (Bridget) is the female Patron Saint of Ireland.
St Brigid is known as the Saint of fertility, healing, creativity, and the arts. Some have also said that she is the original Celtic goddess of pre-Christian Ireland.
Farmers commemorate the day by making a St. Brigid’s cross for good weather for their crops, while families display the cross in their homes for promises of fertility and protection from illnesses.
