All my quilt pictures from yesterday’s visit to the exhibition by Sandra Weir on Magazine Street, four minutes from our Number 19 Shop, at First Derry Presbyterian Church,
As part of Walled city Alive. Exhibition ends June 19th. Open daily but check hours!

The ‘Shirt Tales’ experience is also based here in a wonderful bright class room with exhibits. Check Visit Derry or directly with the venues for more information.

Gorse Yellow!

When you want yellow you sometimes get yellow. Gorse flowers with alum mordant and then modifying with soda ash. # Irishgrownwool

Year three on the banks of the Foyle! Quilt Fayre North West will be at the Everglades Hotel May 8th & 9th.
Plan a day or two at this very creative event, take a crochet class with Shannon (I met her at the first of these).

Just over a week to go, please share this post, let everyone know: long term weather forecast is good, sunshine,cloud and a bit of rain 😂trains are all running, buses can be caught and cars hopefully full of fuel. Let’s go !

The Wisconsin team here and the Cali gals were last to leave - refused to leave really 🤣🌷- while the wonderful busy schedules here at Feile na mBan - Festival called others away timely.
I’d a look at the display of Irish Women’s clothing in the classroom by Maura Logue, beautiful Donegal lace collar and mohair wrap.
I got to enjoy a sunset in my rear view, a full moon rise over Barnes in my front view 🌝 as I got caught on the unprecedented tail back home after the Donegal V Kerry game. Congratulations Donegal.
