Kitchen living….we love it, the connection with the outside is just breathtaking, I spent so long deciding how I wanted the design of the kitchen to reflect the architecture of the wooden frame and grid on the ceiling, it definitely feels part of the structure of the our home. I added a touch of colour on the 6 kitchen draws on the north side. I’m so thrilled with the worktop it’s so matt and doesn’t reflect as we have so much light flooding in.
We sourced angled spots for the grid on the ceiling, the lighting comes into its own in the evening as it bounces off the movement on the lime plastered walls. The lighting is all on dimmers . I had floor sockets put in too, essential in an open plan room to allow lamps to be placed between sofas . Dave made the oak light above the island, it’s so clever we can change the tone and level of light on it from our phones. I’m still learning which light switch operates what ?! 😉
