Tuesday 26 May 2026. The shop will be closed … off to view a venue for a friend’s wedding on Saturday - Mal is the photographer and I will be his goffa 🫣.

Back open as usual Wednesday.

Here are some of the photos I took during my day out at Wonderwool this year … it was a great day seeing old friends and meeting new people. The weather was fantastic too!

Just to say Knit one natural fibres will be closed from this Thursday till next Tuesday (16 - 21 April 2026).

I will be open again at 10.00am on Wednesday 22 April 2026.

We are off to London on Chatcast.uk business - we have been invited to attend a gala event celebrating the 200 year anniversary of the homeopath Dr Samuel Hanemann’s birth! Should be exciting …

In the meantime here is a little poem my good friend Philip Joyce wrote about my shop - the photograph shows the original text but if the writing is difficult to read here it is typed out (I’m not sure about the last line but I have learned much to pass on from my wonderful customers and knitting friends and I am very much aware of what I don’t know 😉):

Knit one

Are you asking yourself what the world holds for you

There you will find a lovely small quirky wool-shop

Further to our previous message, it’s now less than three weeks until auditions begin for our new series of Game of Wool!
We are holding auditions across the country in mid-April and audition slots are already filling up fast! So if you or anyone you know might be keen to take part – then they need to apply as soon as possible. With limited slots available, we advise anyone to not leave it until last minute, as they might miss out 😊
