Having Insta problems this morning so will keep it short!

A wonderful antique pencil sketch of three owls gradually falling asleep. It is entitled “Going, going, gone” and has the sketcher’s initials JSW. Size 11cm x 7cm. £17

After a wonderful and sought after John Sowerby book, “The Ferns Of Great Britain” arrives in tatters (as it was purchased) I think it is not a crime to sell these wonderful plates, separately. They are so beautiful and would look fabulous framed and hung singly or as a set. I have around 70 of them so can’t post them all, but will post more over the coming days. If you would like to see more before then, just DM me.

As you can see, one of the plates has a specimen that was placed with it.

£8 each

A beautiful little antique specimen box with specimen inside. A lovely little piece of history. £38

Having a little break in my heart’s place - Dorset. I moved here with my parents just after Far From The Madding Crowd was filmed here in 1967 and when I eventually got to see it, just fell in love with everything about it. Then read the book - and decided Gabriel and Bathsheba was always going to be the name of something ..I just didn’t know what! The most beautiful woman, Julie Christie and the gorgeous Alan Bates are mesmerising to watch and when Gabriel says to Bathsheba at the end of the film,

“And at home by the fire, whenever you look up, there shall I be, and whenever I look up, there will be you “

Makes me catch my breath every time.

I hope you have had a wonderful week and see you Friday. Penny xx
