I have been using Harris Tweed for the past 20 years since I started my business Castaway Crafts, in a little cottage shop/ workshop in the Isle of Harris in 2001. Now back in Orkney and still working mainly with Harris Tweed, I have continued with the same type of business here but on a slightly bigger scale. I now have over 100 other local crafters selling through me in my shop so are spoiled for choice and in for a real treat when you visit. The shop certainly does offer a window into the vast talent of the many crafters and a huge range of products to suit every pocket and occasion. You will find me in my workshop, working on a range of Tweed products that I have developed over the past 20 years and you can also find a small selection of them on my Etsy shop if you are unable to visit Orkney.
