Our sanding service machines pick up 98% of all dust, so we can achieve a virtually dust free sanding service. Any dust that isn't captured by our sanding machine will be cleaned by our vacuum as part of the clean up procedure.

This one was a little different. A 360 Solid Oak statememt feature in this large hallway.

The customer was having the carpet replaced so decided to have the floor sanded and sealed to bring it back to its former glory.

It’s nice to do something a little different every now and then.

It is very easy to care for your wooden floors.

Here are some simple steps to follow to ensure you keep your floor looking fresh;

• apply felt pads to all furniture that comes into contact with the floor

• always mop up spillages as soon as they happen to avoid water damage or stains

• remove footwear as heels and small stones may cause deep scratches

• use a soft bristle brush to sweep up any dust/dirt or vacuum with the correct attachment. Always sweep or vacuum in the direction of the grain

• only use acid free cleaning products (never use Zoflora on varnished surfaces)

• never use furniture polish on floor as this leaves a slippery residue

• use a micro fibre mop or spin mop to wash the floors, keep water to a minimum to avoid any water pools lying on the floor

• avoid steam mops at all costs as the steam can pe*****te the wood and cause damage over time

• once a week is sufficient for washing the floor unless you notice any surface marks or stains

Proper care and maintenance of your floor can keep it looking like new for years to come.

That saying ‘Less is More’ definitely applies when it comes to cleaning your floor. Just because you use a load of products to clean your floor or clean your floor daily doesn’t always mean you’re doing the right thing.

With the Winter very much insight, now is the perfect time to ensure you give you floor the best care possible.

We fitted, sanded and stained this solid oak floor 13 years ago.

The customer was renovating the whole ground floor of the house and wanted to bring it back to its natural oak finish. We had to repair some areas where the fire place and kitchen units had been removed. We then got to sanding the floor to remove all the dark stain and finished off with an oil based varnish.

The floor looks fresh and bright again and the house is now ready for the final stages of the project!
