Gusts of 60–70mph are expected in many areas, with exposed coastal locations potentially seeing 80mph winds! 🌬️🌧️

It’s the kind of weather that has you listening to every whistle, rattle and creak coming from your windows! 😂

🏡 **A few things worth checking before the storm hits:**
✅ Make sure your windows are fully closed and locked.
✅ Check for any obvious draughts or loose window handles.
✅ Keep an eye out for any existing cracks or damage.
✅ If your windows are rattling badly or letting in water, don’t ignore it.

Good-quality double glazing can help keep your home warmer, quieter and more comfortable — but even the best windows need to be in good condition!

This weather can lead to leaky windows!!
Not nice or convenient but can be a simple.fix! Below are some reasons weather like this shows where the leaks are
⚠️Failed Window Seal
⚠️Damaged or Missing Caulking
⚠️Poor Installation
⚠️Blocked Drainage (Weep Holes)
⚠️Perished Rubber Seals (Gaskets)

⚠️ Important: If the leak happens only during heavy rain or wind, the issue is often exterior sealing or flashing rather than the window itself

Top Tackler – Player #16

This player was absolutely on fire this week. Her defensive performance was outstanding, and she didn't miss a single tackle that came her way. She showed great determination, confidence, and aggression in defence, making her presence felt all over the pitch. It was fantastic to see her come out of her shell and play with such confidence. A well-deserved Top Tackler award after an excellent all-round defensive display. Big thank you to her sponsors Wise Windows Yorkshire for there continued support

Yesterday we had the pleasure of watching our girls at West bowling and wow!!! It's been a tough season for these lasses but they played as a team and what a team!!!
Drighlington Girls ARLFC U13s 2026

Today the girls travelled to West Bowling for their second cup fixture. 🏉💛🖤

The first half was a tight affair, with both sides battling hard, but after the break the girls really began to find their confidence.

They carried the ball stronger, tackled harder and really started to get around each other. That intensity laid the platform for them to pull away in the second half and secure a commanding 32–10 win. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

A huge thank you to Nath Larvin, our U16s Girls Head Coach and recently appointed Castleford Women’s Head Coach, for stepping in today to support the girls. 🖤💛
