Hello my lovelies, sorry for recent radio silence, I have been absolutely snowed under lately with rather too much adulting. Sadly this has included my return to work following a 5 year career break (which in reality amounted to nearly 8 years off work!)
Between work (sooo bloody TIME CONSUMING 😤), studying and essay writing, being treasurer for a successful Theatre Group with an upcoming full scale musical and trying to be a semi decent parent, there's not much time left for making stuff with yarn and hook. 😰
I've decided I really can't take orders for the foreseeable future, but I'll be sneaking in a bit of hooky whenever I can, mostly making for my family and for gifts but might have the odd blanket or scarf for sale along the way.
I'd like to thank all my lovely customers, I've loved making things for you and I can't tell you what's it's done for my sanity and self esteem when all I was was a stay at home mum. How life changes!!

Well having spent most of this week writing a uni assignment I've spent this morning catching up on neglected household chores and am now sitting down for an hours peace, crochet and First Dates. Oh and hobnobs. Mustn't forget the hobnobs. This makes me extraordinarily happy! 😁😍

So excited to get this beautiful box of woolly treasure in the post this week! It's a kit to make Scheepjes 'Hygge' cal (crochet-a-long) which this year is a beautiful shawl with overlay crochet and scandi cross stitch detail. 😍
A crochet-a-long is an online slow release pattern, where the pattern is published in weekly instalments and you make it along with many thousands of other people around the world at the same time. There's usually an element of challenge to the pattern and plenty of opportunity to learn new skills along the way. If previous cals I've participated in are anything to go by, lots of blood, sweat and tears too. And probably the odd 'oh for f***s sake 😣' or 3!
I'm totally drawn by the stunning rainbow colours and the Hygge concept. I'm really into all things Hygge at the moment! 💕🌈
So excited to get started. The first pattern release is on February 1st.....I suspect I will fall behind pretty quickly (it looks like 5-6 hours a week to keep up 😱) but I don't mind that so much, I'm sure I'll not be the only one!
I'll keep you posted with progress shots and sweary words as I go. 😊❤️
