I started making this “wee” fella last year. I won’t pretend that he wasn’t a challenge and he definitely tested my patience on more than one occasion! Several broken needles and huge bird nests of thread, were just some of the things he threw at me! I even got my machine serviced, just to cover every base.

After I finally finished creating him, he was banished to the naughty corner, where he has remained ever since. 🙈🤣

I had a bit of a disappointment this evening and needed a wee morale boost.

So out came the nutcracker to make me smile and restore my faith! 🥰

Challenges are a part of life. It’s how we move forward that is important. 🥰 xx

I sent a message to ask if baby Nathon liked it. This was the reply “he loves it so much he gave it kisses and tried to eat him 😂”

I was also told “Nathon’s Mummy said that’s the first teddy that he hasn’t cried at and loved 😂”

I hope Nathon and his Monkey are friends for a very long time. 🥰🥰 xx

When your friend’s 13 yr old son asks for only one thing for Christmas - a red hoody embroidered with his own logo.

How could I refuse to help?

I don’t have the software (or skill) to digitise myself, so I sent AJD’s design away to a professional digitiser. I am absolutely thrilled with the quality of the file they returned to me.

I stitched the design out today, and the result is absolutely perfect! The reverse of the stitching is every bit as neat as the front. This is incredibly important for AJD, from a sensory perspective.

In my haste to deliver the hoody to my friend, I forgot to take a photo. 🙈 By the time I had got home from their house, a few photos were already in my message box! 🤣🥰

How has your weekend been?

Between taking our youngest to football - Friday, Saturday & Sunday - I have been creating this wee fellow. 🥰

I’m not going to pretend that he hasn’t thrown me a few curve balls, and that I haven’t threatened him with the naughty step on more than one occasion! 🙈🤣 I made his lower arms and hands twice, because he was refusing to stitch nicely.

There are still many parts to make, but I am starting to forgive his spirited behaviour and am happy at the way he is finally coming together. 🥰

And just as I am praising him, he has decided to try and break the needle! 😮

I Guess tomorrow is another day! 🤣🤣
