You know I love all my followers but I just can’t help having a soft spot for a young lad wanting to buy fresh flowers.
This lovely fella caught me just as I was locking up. Asking if I had a bunch with lilies as it’s his Granny’s favourite flower. I told him I had to collect child from school but could he pop back in 45 mins.
His face beamed with surprise when he returned to find I had made his granny an arrangement in a living vase.
I’m so glad I didn’t just do him a wrap with his budget as he was bringing them to the hospital to see his Granny as she had taken a turn for the worse.
The flowers don’t need arranging. No asking the nurse for a jug of water. Also it is so easy to transport when they need to be removed from the ward at night.
I had the time to do this on this occasion. But mostly I just wanted to.
I just loved seeing him leave the shop looking a little lighter, after a day of panic and worry waiting for visiting time. Looking excited to give these to lovely Granny. 🥰🥰

I am loving meeting those in my local community who have popped into the shop to wish me well. Many commenting on how brave I am to take on the shop given the current financial vulnerability. All thanking me for bringing such a beautiful shop to our village.
Most of the other businesses have been so so welcoming.
They are so grateful that the landlord had moral integrity. Refusing applicants for the space that would be conflicting to other businesses in the small area.
Though today I had to fight off a deep sadness to find that a woman from another city despite knowing of my personal financial sacrifices to take on the shop. Completely disregarded and didn’t care for the struggle and years I put into getting to this stage. Made a choice to purchase flowers from my same supplier wrap them to sell outside a shop 3 doors down.

The staff in that shop claimed to not know of my shop. Then stated that in today’s world everyone is out for themselves and don’t care who they stamp on.
Yes maybe I am naive to think that others especially woman hold the same moral integrity and values that I have. Yet I refuse to accept that this behaviour is in anyway justified. Nor will it stop me naturally caring for others. I had the upmost respect for my local florist. I never undercut. I didn’t provide the same service and always promoted them when approached to provide something they offered. Now they have left the area as a store front. I still promote that florist as they work online.

There are still so many who do not wish to shop online. Who want to use cash. I had a lady pay with 5 pence coins for a £2 gift for a friend. I even wrapped it and tied with a bow. As she left the shop I caught a glimpse of her looking at it and she was so chuffed she carried it down the street like she was displaying the Crown Jewels.

I had a gentleman who had bought a little jug from the charity shop and I helped him find a plant for it.
A lovely lady who brought in this adorable suitcase and asked for fresh flowers to gift to her friend.
Both were absolutely delighted with the results.

I received 3 hugs today in my shop from strangers. 3 very different woman who just came into nosey, chat buy some flowers. Each left with a few words of wisdom that came from my heart, 2 were brought to tears. It really wasn’t my intention, it just happened. They were so grateful and overwhelmed that they reached out to hug me.
My name may have changed but my ethos never will. If you have £2 or £2000 to spend you will receive the absolute best , I will always find time to have a little chat along the way and maybe brighten your day.

My First Floragot Telephone Order from a lovely girl who pronounced the name perfectly that got me sooo excited.
She told me that her Mummy had told her about a new Florist at Finaghy Crossroads. She seen this as the perfect opportunity to request a design to celebrate her Mummy’s Birthday.

I wish this wonderful Mama a very happy Birthday & thank the family for trusting me to create for her despite them never seeing any of my designs. My hope is that they resonate and she takes the compliment. Embracing the satisfaction of a mother’s job well done, that she is worthy of such celebration.

Junior-Argot worked hard today on her merchandise. She is also offering a Plant Surgery where people can bring in their dead plants and she will renew them and have them ready for collection after a week for only £1 🫣🥰.
We are still in the slow process of getting fully organised. For our grand opening. In the meantime she wanted to show you some of our offers. If you see the Plants out, I am in working on designs. So do pop in for a nosy. Or to drop off your dead plants.

To Mark The 2nd year from the last day a dearly loved Husband woke up next to his devoted wife.
After a tragedy that day, he never awoke from coma & passed months later.
His Children wanted to send this arrangement to their mother to thank her for her strength and remind her of how proud they are of her.

Thank You so much to BQ Bakes
We enjoyed another slice of this magnificent cake this evening over a week on still tastes amazing. This is real cake. Miss Trinity is very fussy and give instructions on no icing, no flavouring only Madeira or Victoria sponge. It was only for our small family , but this cake has been shared with many. Brenda even went to the trouble of getting her name professionally printed and created a Trinity knot.
I first met her when she created a wedding cake for one of my Brides . Her attention to detail , care & love of her art is exactly how I feel, we are so aligned, even down to fact that we would do it for free if we could.
I can’t thank her enough.
I fully understand that she only creates cakes on special request and personal recommendations. You might just get lucky with your date if you ask nicely and it will be dressed with Floragot blooms 😉

Floral Tribute to repose by recently deceased. As family can’t wake through the night. They requested these flowers to be by his side.
It will come into full bloom in time for his final departure from his home.
With the plan that his carer will be gifted the arrangement to express their sincere gratitude for her kindness & attention over the past years.
