Out delivering firewood today, we took an hour out at Kilmun Arboretum. The weather was spot on and it felt good to wander through the trees and see the early signs of the season starting to turn.
Even in February you can feel it, buds forming, a bit more light in the evenings, everything getting ready to move again. It’s a reminder that the year is picking up pace and there’s plenty to look forward to in the months ahead.
There’s a certain irony in walking through living trees while out delivering firewood, but it also reinforces why we’re careful about how we source ours. We only supply sustainably sourced logs — FSC-certified larch or arboricultural waste — so it’s all responsibly managed and making good use of what’s already there.
As we head into the coming year, we’re looking forward to keeping homes warm on the colder days that are still to come. If you’re thinking ahead, now’s a good time to get stocked up with quality, reliable firewood from Fynewood.
