Just a little electrical safety reminder….
Attended a job today to repair a leak, and whilst at the property I was asked to check a dehumidifier running in the bedroom.

Apparently, the tenant had received an electric shock from the dehumidifier whilst taking the plug out of the socket.

Nope… she broke an oil diffuser in the extension lead and continued using the extension lead.
Those metal parts on the plug were live with 240volts ⚡️!!!!

This customer got trapped in the bedroom due to a failed door latch.
Replaced the door latch and handle assembly for new.

Also checked all remaining latches and door handles throughout the property. Tightened up all loose fixings and have everything a bit of good old WD40.
A small job …. but a little maintenance goes a long way.

Called out to a leak from this toilet, caused by rodents.
I got to the property on the same day, replaced the flexible connector with solid pipe and fitted a rodent barrier to the drain.
Toilet all back up and running for this customer 👍

Sometimes you just have to put some gloves on and get on with it. 💩 🥴🤦‍♂️

Leaking toilet removed, floor uplifted and left to dry for 3x weeks.
New flooring and new toilet installed.

Bathroom leak fixed and damage repaired in Watford this week. One happy customer after having to look at this damage for a couple of months.

Customer called with an overflowing toilet and flushing problem…. Full strip down and replacement of flush syphon and fill valve. Problem solved 👌

Working on getting this one back on the rental market this week, damp specialists have been in to work on the external facing walls. I’m here to decorate fit new skirtings and put everything back to normal again. 😃

Very well used shower enclosure in much need of an update. A leak into the flat below encouraged the job to be completed urgently.

Concealed toilet repair - new syphon, side entry float valve, concealed cistern flush lever and a new removable panel fitted to the boxing for future maintenance.

Shower cubicle replaced with the help of a very keen student on his work experience week with me.

Was a new experience for me too.

Turned out to be a great week and a nice new shower tray, walls, tiles, and glass bifold door… all finished in time for their guests visiting from overseas.
