Another successful transformation 🌏

These drawers were given to us to help ensure they get a chance at another life in a new loving home.

They were gorgeous but tired and in need of a lot of love and care to bring them back to life.

They had wobbly feet, that we had to remove as we couldn't repair them. It had lots of surface scratches on the old varnish and just generally needed some love.

So Graeme got out the 'Cove White', a lovely off-white colour by and gave it an aged look with some browning wax. We added some simple cup handles and a cute little floral transfer and here we are, with a lovely large chest of drawers ready and waiting to find it's new home 🥰

We created our digital guide with total beginners in mind.

That's right. We know that starting out in the world of upcycling and refurbishing furniture can be daunting. There is SO much information out there, SO many different opinions and SOOOO many paint options to choose from! All of this, we know can lead to feeling overwhelmed. And if you're anything like me, the overwhelm can leave you feeling stuck, unable to get going, and lets be honest, that feeling sucks a little bit right?

So we went back in time, back to the days we were just starting out and thought about the things we wish we'd known that would have saved us lots of time, lots of mistakes and lots of overwhelm. We put all of this together to create our very first digital book 'A Beginner's Guide to Upcycling Furniture'.

Aimed specifically at those of you who've always wanted to have a go, but don't have a clue where to start. Or maybe you've dabbled in a bit of upcycling, but haven't found your feet just yet and would like a little bit of guidance to build your confidence. Our guide talks you through the very first steps - from choosing your furniture piece and preparation, to choosing your finish and checking for problems such as woodworm and lead paint.
