Have you heard of an old European sewing superstition that leaving a threaded needle loose or unattended overnight was historically thought to invite wandering spirits or witches to weave mischief directly into your fabric? If so, then we have just the thing for you to keep your needles safe – magnetic needle minders. We have four new designs in the shop – hedgehog, sheep, rainbow and bobbin - all which come on a little card, so make really cute little gifts. (They would also make great “Secret Santa” or stocking gifts, if you are starting to think about Christmas…).

You may recall the new collection we had in recently called “Nightfall” – Karen has used fabrics from the range to make up a sample for the shop. 🪡 The pattern is a Double Irish Chain, which is a classic quilt pattern made of two different blocks which when alternated make the quilt look a whole lot more complicated to construct than it really is! We think it's stunning. 😍

Lizzy has been busy recently, as she also made this fun double-sided quilt using the Orbit panel and coordinating fabrics from the same range. 🪐

We loved seeing this Swallows and Seedheads quilt at the Shirley Quilters' Exhibition on Saturday. It was made by one of our lovely customers, Jane, and she used fabrics from one of our Fat Quarter Club months as the gradient backing fabrics. The Fat Quarter Club is a great way to build your stash by receiving a selection of Fat Quarters in different tones of one colour every other month.
