Introducing the second of our guest makers Bourne To Amiet crochet and amigurumi. Summer joins Pop Up Eastbourne at The Beacon until April 21st.

Summer says:
I was born in Eastbourne, l am now 15 years old. I have many health issues that stopped me from going to school. I have tried many crafts including photography and jewellery making. But around 6 months ago I decided to take up crochet and amigurumi , l haven’t stopped since and l don’t think l ever will. It helps me to relax and gives me a sense of achievement. I love it ❤️

Introducing Emma Spalding ART our fourth founding member. Emma joins us at Pop Up Eastbourne at The Beacon until April 21st.

Emma works part time as a primary art teacher and runs Emma Spalding ART alongside this.

In 2016, Emma left full time teaching to travel and pursue her arty dreams. Since then she’s juggled both school and art, loving it (most of the time).

Emma works in a colourful, vibrant style, inspired by the beauty of the natural world. She creates paintings, cards, frames, prints, magnets and more - often using polymer clay to create textured pieces. Emma loves living here, in Eastbourne, and feels alive on the beach, so much of what she does has a local theme, especially the cheeky seagulls.

Emma is able to personalise many items for a unique card or gift frame idea and take on commissions when she can.

Find Emma Spalding ART on Facebook or Instagram to see her portfolio of art.

Visit our pop up, open 10-4, Wednesday to Sunday.

Introducing our first guest DropoftheOcean. Maddison joins us at Pop Up Eastbourne at The Beacon until 21st April. Maddison says:

I’m Maddison, and when was a toddler, I loved to look for seaglass and shells on the beach.

As I grew up, I got more and more health issues that stopped me from going to school/college and getting an average job.

I decided to turn my lifelong hobby into a seaglass jewellery making business.

And I’m still obsessed with seaglass!

Introducing Nirvana Creations UK. Our third founding member of Pop Up Eastbourne , joining us at The Beacon until 21st April.

Nirvana Creations is a Mother and Daughter team building a dream. Maria is the creator of personalised items, gifts, trinkets, homeware, and art. Whilst Mum, Lesley is the mastermind behind all the beautiful florals.

Nirvana Creations was started in 2020 as an outlet for creative passions, as a therapy after being poorly. From this, Maria and Lesley’s passion project has grown.

Nirvana has enabled Maria and Lesley to meet so many wonderful people. They are proud of the high quality items they produce.

Behind the scenes are Richard: husband, son-in-law, and gazebo extraordinaire, and the furry five: 3 Yorkies and a Chihuahua, Charlotte, Henry, Arthur, and Baby George.

Thank you for supporting this mother and daughter dream, Maria and Lesley can’t wait to meet many more of you.

Introducing Stuff in the Back, another founding member of Pop Up Eastbourne . Stuff in the Back will be with us in the pop up at The Beacon until 21st April.

Danny runs Stuff in the Back alongside a full time job supporting schools and care homes. He started the business in 2014 as an opportunity to be creative.

Starting with upcycling board game pieces such as Scrabble tiles, the range grew from greetings cards to include envelopes and writing sets made from old book pages. In 2021 Danny started sewing as a way of upcycling fabric. Bunting, bags, scrunchies, and keyrings are made from reclaimed bedlinen, shirts, and even suits, as well as new fabric. The range of items he makes is varied, but lately includes lots of colour.

Having lived in Eastbourne since he was one, Danny is thrilled to be a part of Pop Up Eastbourne, and enjoys chatting with you about his work.
