TAIGA Design Co Our candles is made with eco soy wax and is vegan, eco and cruelty free. For shades we use organic mica powder which is also vegan friendly and cruelty free.

Be the light! Burn for what you love! TAIGA is generally word for forest and is the largest biome in the world. The taiga is located near the top of the world, just below the tundra biome. It stretches over Eurasia and North America. The winters in the taiga are very cold with only snowfall. That's why we own this brand name. We bring the light and warm feelings when it's unpleasant weather - whatever physically or mentally.

Did you know there’s a canal in Edinburgh - and that you can actually take a canal boat trip on it? 🌊

I had the idea to pair the slow, lovely pace of being on the water with something creative and relaxing, and that’s how TAIGA Design Co’s candle painting boat experience came about. 🕯️🎨

You get to spend time on the canal, paint your own candle, have a drink and just switch off for a bit.

And if you’re looking for a little escape from the Fringe madness, we have a little offer for August:

✨ Use code FRINGE for £7 off - and it stacks with our already-discounted gift cards.

A creative little escape, right here in Edinburgh. 💛

🎁 Gift cards:

We also offer private boat hire for groups, and every trip supports Re-Union Canal Boats, a local social enterprise🌊
