Today the Malcolm Duffin Design team, along with some of their families, spent the day shopping, packing and delivering Christmas dinners and treats to families across Edinburgh who are facing difficult times.
This was all made possible thanks to the brilliant Gemma and the team at the Edinburgh Christmas Dinner Appeal.
Earlier this year we also chose not to send corporate Christmas cards, and instead donate to this charity — a small decision that felt like a more meaningful way to support the local community.

We were recently invited to visit the amazing city of Cairo and the beautiful resort of Al Alamein on behalf of one of our customers, to look at products and discuss future business. We even managed to spend a couple of hours at the pyramids! We look forward to returning soon.

Details make the design!

A bespoke headboard, elegant silk curtains, and a plum & graphite carpet transformed this space into a dreamy destination retreat bedroom. We crafted custom lampshades from leftover wallpaper—because luxury is in the little things.

From gloomy to glamorous!

We stripped the room back, upgraded the electrics, and added a statement black lacquered panelling to elevate the space. A stunning black radiator set the tone, while the star of the show—a romantic Ralph Lauren wallpaper—added layers of luxury.

Everyone deserves good interior design.

When a client in Rosyth, Fife, reached out with a gloomy, uninspiring room, we saw an opportunity to create something truly special. Inspired by their existing pieces, we designed a romantic Chinoiserie retreat—a space that feels elegant, timeless, and deeply personal.

We even hand-painted a watercolour concept to bring our vision to life before getting to work... (more on that in some exciting upcoming videos, soon to grace Instagram!)

The ultimate Instagram moment.

At , we brought the magic of a Tuk Tuk right through the front window! A playful nod to street culture, this touch adds an unforgettable welcome to guests.

Inside, drama unfolds in the details—from jungle-print luxury wallpaper in the loos (because why not add a little drama there?) to bespoke fabrics created in collaboration with Scottish textile designer Iona Crawford.

Every space is a feast for the senses.
