After years of picking up shells on beaches in Scotland, getting inspired by leaves and giving silver handprints to friends and family, I decided to set up Silverbean Jewellery. I make each piece of sterling silver jewellery from my small workshop in the garden. My favourite is the handprint jewellery, which is totally unique and special to the person that I am making it for. Silverbean jewellery

includes my designs of shell jewellery, leaf jewellery, heart jewellery, handprint jewellery and nature jewellery. I have also designed a range of jewellery in support of local charity It’s Good 2 Give (http://www.itsgood2give.co.uk/) and their Ripple Retreat. All sales from the Ripple Jewellery include a contribution to support the charity. I take bespoke commissions and I have made jewellery from shells that people have found on beaches which hold a special place in their hearts, clan jewellery, jewellery with people’s signatures on, fingerprint jewellery and any other creative ideas that people have.

✨ September workshops are here! ✨

There’s something I absolutely love about my stacking ring workshops. Watching a plain strip of silver slowly become a beautiful little stack of rings — shaped, textured, hammered and polished by you — never gets old.

And I think my favourite part is seeing everyone try their rings on at the end. That little “I made this!” moment makes all the hammering, sawing and polishing worthwhile. 🥰

I’m really excited to be running two stacking ring workshops this September, in two gorgeous venues:

🌿 10th September | 2–4pm
📍 Katie Morrow The Low Port Centre, Linlithgow

🐑 27th September | 2–4pm
📍 The Old Barn | Antiques & Vintage The Old Barn, Edinburgh
✨ A brand new venue for me!

Both are 2-hour workshops, and they’re perfect whether you’re completely new to jewellery making or fancy spending an afternoon getting creative with silver.

You’ll make your own stacking rings, choosing your textures and finishes along the way, and I’ll be there to guide you through every step.

Oh, and because I firmly believe that making jewellery is better with cake… there’ll be cake at both workshops! 🍰☕️

I’m really looking forward to these two and would love to have some familiar faces — and some new ones — joining me.

💍 Booking links are in my bio / comments (depending on where you’re seeing this).

Who would you bring along for a creative afternoon of silver, cake and a little bit of jewellery-making magic? ✨

Wow that’s been a fun few days creating these rings from these gorgeous gemstones. Have been playing with different textures, shapes and angles and love the end results ✨✨

I will be bringing all of these to the next week, I am really looking forward to having a stall there and will be in the Orchard all week - come and say hi!👋

Really looking forward to the Moy Country Fair this weekend!

It’s always such a great event, I will be in the craft tent on Friday 7 & Saturday 8 August. It’s two days of country sports, arena displays, local food and drink, shopping, crafts, family entertainment and much more.

See you there ✨💕

✨ Dopamine dressing… but make it jewellery. 🌈

You’ve probably heard of dopamine dressing – wearing colours that lift your mood and make you feel more like you. I like to think my Summer Sprinkle necklaces do exactly the same thing.

Tiny pops of colour, handcrafted with care, designed to add a little joy to your everyday. Whether you’re wearing a simple white tshirt or your favourite bright summer dress, they’re that little finishing touch that makes you smile every time you catch them in the mirror.

Because sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference. 💛

Which style would be your little dopamine hit?

One of my favourite parts of making jewellery is meeting the people who’ll wear it. ❤️

Recently I made these Love Letter Rings for lovely friends visiting Edinburgh from the USA. They each chose the initials of those they love, turning a simple silver ring into something they’ll treasure and always have with them.

I really enjoyed chatting with them while they were here, and it made me smile knowing they’ll take a little piece of Edinburgh home.

These rings are all handmade by me from recycled sterling silver in my Edinburgh workshop and so comfortable to wear and stack.

Now you’ve got me thinking… if you were having one made, what would you stamp on yours? An initial? Two? A little secret just for you? 💕

✨ Time to show my bird necklace some love… ✨

One of my favourite designs, this bird is a symbol of hope, freedom and new beginnings. Cast in small batches in solid sterling silver, it’s a piece that’s made to be worn every day and treasured for years to come.

And now you can choose the chain that suits your style:

🩶 Classic sterling silver belcher chain
✨ Sterling silver paperclip chain with an Albert swivel clasp, so you can swap your bird for other charms whenever you fancy a change.
💛 Gold filled paperclip chain with an Albert swivel clasp for a warm mixed-metal look and interchangeable styling.

Whether you’re treating yourself or looking for a meaningful gift, this little bird is ready to take flight. 🕊️

Which chain would you choose? Belcher, silver paperclip or gold paperclip?
