Meet Maricela ❤️

We’re so excited to introduce some new pieces to Rooted: handmade tin Sacred Hearts from Oaxaca, Mexico.

For 30 years, Maricela has carried on a family tradition; shaping, decorating and soldering each heart over four days.

To her, the Sacred Heart represents our culture, our beliefs and the love of every family within it.

We’re honoured to bring her work to Rooted in Mexico. ❤️

So I made a wee video talking about it — the difference between a "trend" and the real thing. Our actual traditions, flavours, and crafts are so much richer than what some brands reduce them to.

Yesterday was a very special day 🎉 we celebrated el cumpleaños of the youngest half of Rooted in Mexico Carla Mso

The yin to my yang, the one who always has a cool head and keeps things chilled. The one who's bestie with all our lovely artisans and manages to work to tight schedules without sweating it.

Alongside an incredible menu celebrating the flavours of Mexico, you’ll find a curated selection from our collection on display in the restaurant.
