A fabulous printed velvet by Chatham Glyn Fabrics Ltd has been used in a simple pair of pencil pleat curtains hung behind an integral wooden pelmet in this guest bedroom, with a matching roman blind in the small window. Sadly the client bought the fabric independently of me and was badly advised re the quantity needed so they are a little on the skimpy side. However, it is a narrow set of doors, heading space is very limited due to the pelmet and so I think we have got away with it. Either way, they do add a great statement to the room!

Hand made by me with over 1000 internal stitches, locking lining, interlining and face fabric together with no visible stitches to the face of the blind. The finished product hung and tested in my workroom ready for fitting in it's forever home tomorrow.
A beautiful embroidered linen Union by Bill Beaumont Textiles and hung onto an Evans Textiles headrail.
Two sumptuously plump, self-piped cushions to finish off the room, cozy.

Sometimes the back of a curtain is as important as the front!
This archway separates a (now) snug from a large hallway so we opted for a double sided curtain to coordinate in with each room, a pale duckegg for the snug and a silver for the large hall.
Both fabrics are from Chatham Glyn Fabrics Ltd and are hung onto a Silent Gliss track supplied by Streets Interior Textiles

One of my favourite woven designs by ILIV , Tiffany in Jewel. It would have been wrong to ignore the pattern when calculating the pleat spacing so I pleated it to pattern which really showcased the art deco design.
The quality of the basecloth was outstanding and pattern matching the panels was made easy by the quality of the weave. Delighted!

I used the offcuts of fabric to make 4 self piped scatter cushions for the sofas.

Andrew Martin supply some beautiful woven fabrics, seen here made up into a pair of floor length interlined double pinch pleat curtains and, at 15kg, possibly the heaviest I have made to date. Hung onto a chunky handmade, hand painted wooden pole by Cameron Fuller Limited .

Another interlined (and insulating) door curtain matching in with landing curtains, fabric by Chatham Glyn Fabrics Ltd and hung onto poles supplied by Hallis Hudson.
A very large lounge bay was treated with a pinch pleated curtain in a coordinating design also by Chatham Glyn to continue the colour theme of the downstairs rooms.

This set of curtains needed a passport to travel to their new home in Luxembourg. Display only, to dress 2 sets of long patio doors, this sumptuous plaid by ILIV adds warmth to this dual aspect sitting room. Leftover fabric was made into a couple of scatter cushions piped with a contrast piping.

It's not often I make pencil pleat curtains but, when I do, I like to make a little pocket to store all the cords in 😁.
These were hung behind a pinch pleat pelmet so hand pleating the curtains have been hidden, hence pencil pleat was chosen. Fabric is by .
