🗓️ Key exhibition dates

You may have noticed a slight change to planned opening hours! The exhibition will now open from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th March 11am - 4pm, then every day from 1st April onwards 10am - 5pm.

If you’re interested in hearing more about the story behind the photos, or about the limited edition book, Olly will be at Exeter Custom House - ECQT at the following times:

Sunday 5th April (11am - 1pm)
8th/9th April TBC
Wednesday 15th April (2-4pm)
Sunday 19th April (11am - 1pm)

📢 📚 BIG BOOK MARKET UPDATE! 📚 📢

The Book Market 2026 will now be held at Exeter Quay on SUNDAY 7TH JUNE from 11am-4pm 🌞

We're SO excited to bring the market to the Quay, one of Exeter's buzziest spots on a summer weekend 🐝

We'll have some of the best indie bookshops from across Devon on the piazza (where the Exeter Quayside Farmers Market is), FREE literary activities in Exeter Custom House - ECQT, and our fabulous Author Tent under the Transit Shed.

The Quay is home to amazing local food spots like Boatyard Cafe & Bakery, vegbox_cafe, Topsham Brewery & Taproom, and Portal Pizza, so you can really make a day of it.

A HUGE thank you to Exeter City Council and Exeter Quay for making us feel so welcome! 😊

We've made this move because we weren't able to secure the level of access infrastructure and support we need on the Cathedral Green. Accessibility is a core value for us, and we're committed to making The Book Market welcoming and fun for everyone.

We hope you'll join us and our amazing bookish vendors for this exciting new chapter of The Book Market on Sunday 7 June! 🗓️📚

We’re delighted to launch two exciting photographic exhibitions drawn from the Photographic Collection.

Discover Exeter’s past through The Living Archive of Exeter’s Waterfront and Exeter Through the Lens, featuring rare photographs that reveal a century of change—from evolving streetscapes and society portraits to the devastation of the 1942 Baedeker Raids and the city’s enduring connection to the River Exe.
