Based in a former Victorian railway station next to the Swans Nest Pub in Exminster we are able to supply any item needed to renovate, restore and furnish your period home. Phew it's been a hot one! I'm not going to lie: it's been a pretty hard days buying with some very high prices (lots of people asking higher than my shop retail), high temperatures and, for the first time, I took my boys on the road with me which was a great experience but obviously made it all a tad more chaotic than normal! 🤣
It also didn't help that the wonderful people running the event felt it was ok to charge full entry fees for my two young kids (£20 each) which, to put it mildly, annoyed me just a little bit at 6am on a Sunday morning!
Anyway, I have a van full of some good furniture and some really interesting other stuff too including a load of the amazing Japanese tea chests and a beautiful large circus panel...I hoped to do an unloading video this afternoon but we are currently grabbing lunch at a service station so I think it will be tomorrow now!
Shop open until 4pm today and I'll sort this lot out in the morning!

We've finally got around to wiring up one of the epic bulk head lights that I found on my last trip to India. They are such cool looking things and a nice ambient light (I'm going to try a warmer coloured bulb tomorrow too).
They are 36cm x 28cm and I have 12 available.
Sold unwired but it was an easy job to rewire so no problem for an electrician to do.
A whole corridor of these things would look amazing!
£100 each including vat.

Just arrived! Just under 20m2 of old pine floorboards - we're struggling to get this stuff nowadays so it's nice to have a batch of decent boards come in.
We literally unloaded it just before we closed so it will go on sale in the morning!
It's 145mm (5 3/4") x 22mn thick.

I thought it might be interesting for people to see some comparison photos of a few of my Indian finds showing how they looked when I found them in India and then how they look once they reach us...some are definitely leaps of faith!

I thought I'd share a few details from some of the beautiful Indian pieces dotted around the showroom....I hoped to spend a bit more time photographing stuff today but we are still catching up after last week so that will have to wait for now!
I have another little stock update coming on Friday but there's still lots of great Indian stock to see (& the showroom is still packed) so I haven't been buying much this week! 🙂
