From an old book page to a little woodland treasure! 🐿️🍂

There’s something so satisfying about taking a piece of paper that might otherwise be thrown away and giving it a completely new life.

A little ink, some fussy cutting, a bit of layering and suddenly we’ve got a rather adorable squirrel! 😂

This is one of my favourite things about junk journalling — finding beauty in the bits and pieces other people might overlook. 💜🦋

I’m ridiculously excited about these 🦋💜

I’ve finally had some proper professional photos taken of my Willow & Wings products, and seeing everything I’ve been making presented like this feels a bit surreal.

So much of this business has been me at a messy table, surrounded by paper scraps, lace, ink and half-finished ideas 😂 so seeing the finished pieces photographed properly makes it all feel very real.

I’m so pleased with how they’ve turned out, and I can’t wait to start using them across the website and socials. There’s still lots more to come, but this feels like such a lovely little milestone. ✨

Today’s highly sophisticated operation: chopping up old books on a slightly grubby paper trimmer 😂 I’m making a pile of little vintage tags from pages that might otherwise have gone to waste. I love finding another use for the scraps.

Anyone else incapable of throwing away a potentially useful bit of paper?

Good morning 😊😊
I’ve been gone for a while, almost loosing my battle, I think I’m over the dip.

Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better, but please believe me, the world is better with you in it ###

Hello again 🌿🦋

I’ve started writing this post more times than I want to say.

I’ve been very quiet here for quite a long time. The simple truth is that my depression got bad, and when that happens my world tends to become very small. I haven’t had the headspace keep up with social media or be present in the way I wanted to be.

So I stopped.

And I think I needed to.

But while I’ve been quiet, Willow & Wings hasn’t disappeared.

Little by little, I’ve been finding my way back to it.

I’ve been sorting through an frankly ridiculous amount of craft supplies, making things, planning new ideas, building the website and slowly remembering why I started all of this in the first place.

Because creating helps me.

It always has.

And somewhere amongst the paper, lace, stickers, ink, tea-dyed pages and approximately seven million things I’ve kept because “that might be useful for something”, I’ve started feeling excited about Willow & Wings again.

So I’m coming back.

Not with a perfectly organised content calendar or promises that I’ll post every day.

Just me, my slightly chaotic craft room, lots of ideas, and a little business that means an enormous amount to me.

There are some really lovely things coming.

And if you’ve still been here quietly waiting while I’ve been away — thank you. 💜

It’s good to be back.

I hope everyone is having a good Easter. I’m currently working on a Willow and Wings website, trying to spread good feelings to anyone who needs it. Remember - You’re not alone, and this world is much better off with you in it ❤️

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Everything seems a bit crazy at the moment so I’m trying to focus on the small things. My little one wanted some school books for her dolls, and I knew exactly what to do 😊❤️
