It's the details that matter. ✨

The beautiful fluted Bowland butler sink by Shaws, an intricate Bidbury basket strainer and the stunning Ionian tap by Perrin & Rowe in living finish brass.

Traditional craftsmanship, considered details and finishes that become even more beautiful with time.

Because good design is in the details.

Good coffee, a beautiful kitchen and a moment to yourself. ☕

Sometimes it's the simplest everyday rituals that make a house feel like home.

Thoughtfully designed kitchens, made for living.

A curved wall, a compact footprint, and the everyday demands of laundry day gave this utility room plenty to solve. But those quirks became the starting point for something thoughtful and beautifully crafted.

The solid oak shelves were shaped in our workshop to follow the wall’s gentle curve, carefully made by hand for the space. Bespoke cabinetry makes the most of every inch, while a stacked Siemens washing machine and tumble dryer keep the layout practical without compromising on style.

A traditional Belfast sink anchors the room, paired with a worktop that rises seamlessly to become the window sill—a small detail that makes the whole space feel considered.

These are the details I enjoy most: working with a room’s character, embracing its challenges, and turning them into something rather special.

And hopefully making laundry day a little more enjoyable along the way. 🤍

If you’re considering a utility room of your own, we’d be happy to hear from you and explore a bespoke design that works beautifully for your space.

By appointment. Deliberately.

When you visit Fox & Bear, the studio is yours.

No busy showroom.
No interruptions.
No pressure.

Just dedicated time with your designer to sit down over a coffee, explore materials and finishes, and properly talk about your home, how you live and what you want from your space.
We work by appointment because good design takes time, and we want that time to be entirely yours.

Every project starts with a conversation.

Looking backwards to design forward.

We find an enormous amount of inspiration in old houses — particularly in the rooms that were designed to work: kitchens, pantries, sculleries and larders.

Natural materials, freestanding furniture, proper storage, beautiful hardware... so many ideas we think of as current have actually been around for generations.

In our latest Design Notes, I'm looking at what historic houses can teach us about designing kitchens and interiors for the way we live now — without turning our homes into museums.
And yes, the dishwasher can stay.

Looking Back to Design Forward is now on the journal.

From timber to table ✨

A little behind the scenes of Anthony making a bespoke table for Rosie’s wonderfully individual kitchen.

Designed and made specifically for the space, from the turned legs and painted base to a quartz top chosen to match the existing worktops.

Because sometimes the perfect piece simply doesn’t exist until you make it. 🩷

🍂 First day of autumn.

Pumpkins are out. Jumpers are back. Everything should ideally be orange. Pumpkin spice latte season has officially begun, and Gilmore Girls is naturally playing in the background.

We don’t make the rules. 🎃☕🍁

Although we do make rather lovely kitchens to enjoy all of the above in.

Happy autumn from Fox & Bear 🦊🐻

Bake Off is back 🍰

Which seemed like the perfect excuse to revisit Rosie’s “Victorian-ish cake kitchen” — designed for baking, cooking and plenty of character.

On your marks, get set… bake.
