Last night I was stripping down an item to upcycle into a lamp and came across this bit of old newspaper that had been used to pack it out inside during a repair, possibly.

Unfortunately it doesn't have a date on it but you could get

A heavy duty car battery for £11.34.
Wheel balancing 92p

And just look at the price of tyres!!!

If car prices aren't your thing on the back on the back it advertises a table and 4 chairs for £213.60

Do you think I should put it back in the finished lamp, with possibly an updated list with today's prices?

If you want to see the item in question you'll have to head to Linlithgow Night Market this Friday night, and possibly Saturday if it doesn't sell before then.

Unfortunately the Rocket Lamp has been sold and is now on display at a Cala showhomes of Support (the second lamp of mine to be sold by Katie Morrow to Cala).

But if you'd like to see what else I upcycle and make youve not got long to wait, this Friday and Saturday were taking part in the very popular Linlithgow Night Market.

You'll find hot food and drink along with a carefully curated range of arts and crafts. This month's is Halloween Themed so don't be scared of coming in fancy dress!

If you can't wait till then you can always pop into Katie's shop in The Lowport Centre where you'll find a few of my pieces along with her upcycled furniture.

Reasons to get scared, it's only just over a week until our next Market!

It's a Halloween Edition of the Linlithgow Night Market, you'll find us there on both days, so why not head over to Low Port Centre & Linlithgow Lodge in Linlithgow for some Halloween fun with an opportunity to a bit of shopping for the up and coming seasons, while having some great food and drink. 🎩 💡 🧛‍♂️

Don't worry about the weather!

Come along to Scottish Arts & Crafts Fair in Beith, it's all indoors!

You'll find us with another 51 carefully curated craft stalls for your perusal, before heading for some refreshments at the onsite cafe.

Then you can take your time making your purchases before heading home feeling smug with yourself.

Knowing that you've supported artists and makers, that you've got products you'll not find on the high streets and you've bought it from the person who spent time to design and make the product by hand, and it's not mass produced somewhere around the other side of the world!

We're halfway through the week which means it's nearly time for our next event at Geilsland Estate on 3rd October! 🥳 It's the perfect place to escape the autumn weather as it's always warm and dry in our huge indoor venue. We've another fantastic line-up of 54 stalls filled with art, craft, food, and drink, plus an on-site cafe! Just finished upcycling this 1970's GPO wall telephone into a USB powered wall light.

Anyone else would like to admit remembering when you could walk out the door and not be bothered with a device in your pocket that's used in almost every part of your life?

If you want to remember the good old days come along and see us next Saturday 3rd of October at Scottish Arts & Crafts Fair.

We'll be at the next Scottish Arts & Crafts Fair on the 3rd October in Beith, will you be there?

You'll find 54 stalls with everything from food & drink, art, craft, including some very stylish usb powered lamps, if you don't believe me why not come along and have a look for yourself.

You'll find it has free onsite parking, free entry, fully accessible and a nice onsite café should you need some refreshments to keep you going or just taking some time out from all your shopping.

It's also dog friendly, sould you want to bring them for a walk around the estate while your here.
