Posting again because I love this shot and the September light in the studio.

A simple wooden and cast iron Sheila maid for drying and airing clothes and textiles is perfect for this unpredictable time of year. You can raise and lower it on a simple pulley device. Very traditional but its usefulness doesn’t date.

Everyone needs one. We have been selling these for twenty years!

New shoot today featuring our beautiful heirloom quality decorations with an aged brass appearance. (Sadly solid brass is too heavy for Christmas tree branches!). They’ve been relaunched this year with the same fabulous designs and an even more lovely Hessian bag along with new designs that include a seahorse, a seal (oh my days), bulldog, spaniel, Kingfisher and lovable toad. They’ll be available online again from next week!

Just wanted to share with you one of my personal favourite pieces from a recent shoot. A truly stunning handle made in England to exacting standards. Satisfying traditional detailing will elevate cabinets and doors in your home if you are renovating a period property. The Cambridge is available in a variety of finishes but seen here in Distressed antique brass - one of our best selling living finishes.

A few shots from our Sheila maid shoot on Monday. Take a look at that beautiful casting! We’ve been selling Sheila Maids for 20 years now, and they remain one of those brilliantly simple household designs that we never tire of.
Made in the UK, these traditional ceiling-mounted clothes airers use a simple pulley system to raise washing up and out of the way, making clever use of space whilst drying in a gentle and economical way. Myself, staff, friends and family members all swear by them too! It feels like the perfect time to purchase if you had as much rain as we did today! 🌧️

We’ve had the busiest August ever instore. That’s in twenty years! It maybe raining now but it’s fascinating how this gloriously warm summer has impacted tourism in Cornwall. Hopefully also means lots of holiday makers have booked for next year too. Ofcourse a shout out to our much loved locals some of whom pop in almost on the daily for a chat and to peruse our new products excitedly curated by the team. And a particularly big ‘welcome back’ to the students returning this month. We love Falmouth and all it has to offer. Make sure you visit if you can!

Have you been to the shop recently? Look at these stunning colours. I don’t want to use the term autumn too early but it’s feeling that way and I for one am really happy about that… 🍂💕

Beautiful tableware for nibbles with family and friends along with best selling notebooks and new 2027 calendars from the wonderful (which are selling even quicker than last year!!) come and see us over the weekend.
