A while ago, I fell in love with the frogs in videos by India Rose Crawford and discovered that they are knitted from a pattern created by the talented Claire Garland of Dot Pebbles

I thought I’d stretch my knitting skills and make myself a frog, so I bought the pattern. The first one was a challenge but I love him (he’s the one in the burgundy jumper)!

Then my nephew wanted one, and I made one for The Makers’ House, Fareham, and another for me, and one for a friend… I’m quite addicted to making them now, and their little outfits are so cute!

Knitted with thin 4 ply wool, using tiny 2.25mm double ended needles, and with wire to stiffen their limbs for posing, these frogs are quite fiddly to make and take a lot of time and patience. But they are so worth it!

While we wait for spring to stick around for more than a few days, why not brighten things up with crochet tulips? 🌷

In time for Mother’s Day and with Easter coming up, they make a lovely present that lasts longer than real flowers and they don’t need looking after!

Spooky season is coming and my monstrous makes are back! 👻🎃💀🕷️🧙🏼‍♀️🐈‍⬛

New for this year, glow-in-the dark eyeballs to go with last year’s glowing ghosts!

Fiendish favourites are in stock too - Frankie & Skelly boy, the witches: Olive, Violet and Clementine, black cats, spiders, zombees, eyeballs… and pumpkins, lots of lovely pumpkins!

Chunky chenille ghosts to follow, when the yarn arrives!

£8 each for Frankie, Skelly boy, witches, cats and chenille ghosts.
£5 each for zombees, spiders, glow ghosts and eyeballs.
Pumpkins are £6, £8 or£12, depending on the size.

I’m always open to discussing commission pieces. I’ve been asked if I can make a whole host of different things - a children’s book character for story time at school, a pair of cushions to match a throw (and another pair for her friend!), a whole family as a birthday present, an adorable cat and dog for animal-loving granddaughters, and some simple squishy stress balls to help with difficult times.

…and this week some red roses to wear to an England women’s Rugby World Cup match!

If ever there’s anything you want crocheted, let’s have a chat.

And, if you want a seagull but he has to have a beanie hat, or you need a fox with a blue bow tie, or you’d like a pocket pet cat that looks just like your beloved kitty, drop me a dm. I’m always happy to make personalised tweaks or additions to my makes!

Four years ago today I shared my colourful bee experiments!
Who knew the crazy little tabby bee would lead to a whole menagerie of pocket pets?!

I might make some more colourful bees - they look so pretty! 🐝

I’ve been working on these for a while, trying to get the details just right.

Spring is in the air and Easter is on its way so I've been busy crocheting lots of pastel goodies!🐰🐤🐑 🐇🐥
I’ve made a few different designs for Easter in previous years, and I thought I’d see how the look in pastel chenille/ I’m pleased with the results and hope you like them!

This lot are now at The Makers’ House, Fareham.

I’ve restocked the little version of my birds at The Makers’ House, Fareham!

There are gulls, bo***es, pigeons 🐦, doves 🕊️, ravens 🐦‍⬛, ducks 🦆 and flamingos! 🦩 And who knows what other birds might join them!

Guinea pigs, hamsters and cats join the rabbits and cockatiels on the shelf. 🐹🐱🐰

I’ve added another b***y too, and my next mission is to make more little birds 🦆🦩

Sprouts! And mince pies! What could be more Christmassy?! 🥧

I’ve just put the finishing touches to these new makes while I was at The Makers’ House, Fareham social crafting afternoon session, so they have joined the remaining pigs in blankets and snow babies.

I couldn’t decide between fluffy chenille (1st photo) or variegated yarn (2nd photo) for the sprouts, so both are available.
