Smart new stairs to hayloft… All singing & dancing disabled / gender neutral loo… Lovely new ‘shack’ transformation (was my crumbling office), with smart bi-fold doors - one day will be coffee shop… Floor dug out to new level - to accommodate soon to be small mezzanine floor (Art Gallery perhaps?) 🥰

Listed properties are central to our local history and culture - and we are fortunate to have so many in our constituency.

500,000 listed buildings across the UK help enable communities to make a significant contribution to the economy and maintain our national identity.

But stewardship for these tangible pieces of British heritage comes with higher costs, regulatory burdens and sadly very limited support.

As a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Listed Properties, I've been listening to concerns of local residents and businesses - like The Antiques Warehouse - and I am firmly backing better support for the custodians of these beautiful buildings.
