USEFUL INFO FOR THREADS VISITORS!
WEATHER 🌦️
We’re expecting some drizzle in Leeds, so please be sure to dress for the weather in case of any queues and for the short walks between buildings on site. Please bring water with you if you are booked onto a workshop, as the 3rd floor of the 1912 Mill does get warm as the day goes on.
PARKING 🚗
We do have free on site parking, including accessible spaces, but we strongly encourage travelling by foot, via public transport, by bike or by carpooling, as parking is limited. You can reach us from Leeds city centre on the 16/16A bus or by train to New Pudsey station which is a 20 min walk away.
DOGS 🐶
As usual, the 1912 Mill and Museum & Archive welcome assistance dogs only. Dogs are allowed in most other areas of the site.
ACCESS 🚪
The Textile Market, talks, workshops and exhibitions are inside the 1912 Mill (pictured here). Each floor is accessed by stairs or a wheelchair accessible lift.
Accessible toilets can be found on the ground & 2nd floor of the 1912 Mill, the Gallery Corridor, and in every other building on site. Baby changing facilities are available in all accessible toilets on site.
Our Twisting and Spinning Mill Artists’ studios have both stair and lift access. Red Lane Mill studios and the Spinning Mill Loft (venue for Ellie Sanders' exhibition) unfortunately are step-only access at this time.
If you need a break from the crowds or need a place to breastfeed during the weekend, there are several calm spaces across the site of the Mills. We will have hosts around to help you - just look for the pink hi-vis vests.
Visit our website for any last-minute talk or workshop tickets and to view the weekend booklet. You’ll also find a breakdown of everything happening on each day, including a full list of stallholders exhibiting in the Market on both Saturday and Sunday > https://www.sunnybankmills.co.uk/arts/gallery/threads-textile-festival-2026/
The programme kicks off at 10am tomorrow. See you soon!
The Textile Market is open 10am - 5pm
