Hi all. I may not have my shop anymore but I can still be contacted for any antique restoration.
This was my latest challenging assignment. A customer had this lovely rosewood chair but with a completely broken back rail with bits missing. It was a tricky task but I grafted another piece of timber on and carved it to match, before blending in the colour and re-polishing. Hopefully they'll be pleased with that...I know I am πŸ™‚

Although I've since closed the shop in Faversham, I still can't keep away from a nice item when I see it. Fresh into my hands is this lovely 1930's 2 seater settee and matching chair. I've not seen this style of caning before, around a roundel, but I love it! The rattan is in perfect, unbroken condition and the burnt orange upholstery is also in good, clean condition and very comfortable. This is ultra stylish and would equally suit a cool, retro house or conservatory room.

Hello Everyone. Several of my regulars now know, but for those that don't, I will sadly be closing my shop in Faversham at the end of this month. I've been in Standard Quay for 11 years in total and have seen many changes over the years. I've met so many lovely people and several famous faces and it's been a heartbreaking decision to make. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for all your visits, the conversations, the laughter and for all your purchases. They all meant so much to me and I will miss them immensely. Many of you feel like family to me now.
Furniture is my passion though and I shall continue to be available on my usual number for any repairs or restoration you may need, as well as other woodworking services, so don't be too hasty discarding my details. I will also be available to privately source antique items for you, if you want some inspiration for a particular space, items which I could deliver to you directly. I'll make alterations to my business name and direction in due course, but I would appreciate if you continued to follow the page, as there may be some way I can assist you in the future. Once again, thank you for everything and if there's anything in the shop between now and the end of January that takes your fancy, I'm sure I can do some great deals. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and truly, thank you. X

Matt

Hello Everyone!
I hope you're all well πŸ‘‹πŸ™‚

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything on here!
Some time back, I attempted to download multiple pictures and write ups to my page and after lots of time spent getting it just right, Facebook glitched and all my work disappeared, so I sort of lost heart with it for a while. My apologies.
Anyway, I'm still busy trading and so many great items have come and gone, so I need to reconnect with those of you that don't follow me on my mostly used Instagram page.

From now on, as I post items on there, I'll set it to also post them here, so I can get back on track and you can see if anything takes your fancy πŸ™‚.
Below are some pics taken in the shop today to give a rough idea of current stock, but new items come in on a weekly basis.

Thank you for your patience and loyalty. Enjoy the summer and please feel free to pop into mine or any of the other interesting shops, bars or eateries down in Standard Quay , Faversham sometime soon.
Best wishes

Such sad news today to hear of the passing of the lovely Dave Myers of The Hairy Bikers Fame. He was a local chap and so friendly and nice to chat with. Absolutely tragic, at the mere age of 66. RIP Dave. You will be very missed. X πŸ˜₯

Hi everyone! Long time no speak! Hope you're all keeping well and staying warm. Christmas will soon be upon us, so I've been stocking up. I realise it's been a while since I last posted on here, so some items I'm posting have already gone, but I include them for my own records and to give my followers an idea of what they're missing if they don't pop in! Hope you like them πŸ™‚
