82 years ago today that battle of Arnhem was taking place in and around the Dutch city of Arnhem. This was part of operations Market Garden an airborne assault on a number of key bridges held by the Germans. Sadly as many of you will know the troops in and around Arnhem were not relived soon enough and had to surrender after almost 2 weeks of fighting. Today we remember both the allied and axis forces who fought and died over the next couple of days. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
