My business is about making homes interesting! Selling items that will enrich your space - adding history, lovely colours or beautiful scents. I can be found at Aladdins Loft in Faversham, by appointment at home in Rochester and at a number of Fairs in Kent and Sussex which I try to list on my page.

A definitely odd picture to reflect my ‘split personality’ on the theme of if I’m ‘a planner or go with the flow’!
The map represents my need to set in some kind of structure - fair dates booked, yoga & Pilates classes (me time!) and family time definitely doesn’t happen unless planned for with everyone scattered.
The cow creamer represents the flip side ‘go with the flow’ - family life really teaches you that being too tied to a plan tempts fate and also that sometimes the best days just happen because you let them! In searching for antiques / vintage you never know what you might find or where! A receptive mind is the best tool you can have!
To stretch the map analogy, a planned destination but allowing for time to smell the roses or follow that intriguing butterfly (or rest the twisted ankle 😂) !

It’s an addiction - I just had to rescue this adorable Babbacombe cat string dispenser and now it’s in my etsy shop awaiting a new home!
Completely silly especially when little scissors make it look like it’s wearing glasses 🤓

A busy weekend so not much time for truffling but a few finds and it was all about colour!
I haven’t found a mohair blanket as big or bright as this for ages and it compliments the anemone painting so well…..
The cast iron figure is a bit of a mystery and is solidly weighty and I think older than the mid-century dates I would put on everything else….
The gorgeous pottery bowl set that looks so modern is actually signed studio pottery (1951-66) by Maria Seviers and will be debuting on my stall at Cirencester this coming weekend (starting Friday afternoon) - Karen & I will be stalled out side by side & hoping for fair weather!

Any thoughts or opinions on my mini haul?

A dose of Real dealer life……. After a long but lovely couple of days with .franklin_antiques and others and a longer than hoped for pack down, I was on my way home with a fully loaded car when all my lights came up and my front tire went dramatically down!!!
So 6.30pm and stuck on the fast section of the A21 🫣.
Rather dangerous so RAC said I had to call police on 999 instead of them.
The lovely police turned up and closed a lane - such a relief as it was definitely a bit ‘hairy’ at the side of the road!
They summoned a local towing service & I arranged with a mobile tyre service for them to meet me at the tow company forecourt to replace my tyre - in the rain & getting dark by then!
Everyone (except RAC) was so nice & so helpful, I really can’t praise the help & efficiency enough - my car was repaired and back on the road by 9.15 & I was finally home at 10.20pm to a very welcome glass of wine 🍷

Real life - the opportunity to test your resilience & meet nice people 🥰!!!

Nearly (sort of!) set up for - so many beautiful things to see on everyone’s stalls that I got quite distracted and so have a bit more to do tomorrow before the doors open at 9.30am but I did take a few photos for once!!!
I’m in Shed Two opposite .franklin_antiques & who have the amazing centre stalls. Also sharing this shed & all looking more prepared than me: .vintage & more!!!

Packed up (mostly!!) for set up today. I promise I do have some larger pieces but the last few days have been sorting antique lace, preparing packs of interesting bits & pieces & working out how to best show antique petticoats & collars amongst other things!!
I must try and take a stall picture or two today but otherwise if you’re in the area this is a beautiful fair to visit……
