A smashing example of Ironstone dish produced by Hicks & Meigh. While I love old Mason’s pieces, I think Hicks & Meigh produced items with far more superior in terms of quality and decorations. This pattern was later known as the Rayner pattern or Table and Vase - one of a rarer patterns so I thought it’s worth sharing.

🧡🕊️🌼 This is a super cute antique Mason’s Hydra jug in the same pattern as the coffee cup from yesterday. Standing at just 8.5cm tall so it’s pretty small and perfect for a drop of milk for your tea or coffee!

☕️💐🌸 ~ For sale ~ Coalport ‘Pembroke’ shape c.1827 in lovely floral sprays pattern and delicate gilding details. The cup is in exceptional condition with no crazing which is rather unusual for Coalport pieces from this era. Saucer doesn’t have glaze crazing but still looks lovely.

Roses for V day - can anyone guess the maker of this cup? Known to some people as “Swansea Rose”, the pattern which has been produced by so many factories (I have seen about 10 so far). It’s fascinating to see the variations and defo worth collecting them all@in my opinion.

💕 Stroke of Serendipity 💕

Another day another cup looking to find her soulmate. This one was made by Ridgway circa 1840s. I particularly love the gorgeous gothic feel and the intricate gilt details on this cup. The very detailed floral sprays are also lovely - such a striking looking cup in my opinion.

💕 Stroke of Serendipity 💕

A grey cup on a very grey day here in the UK. Unlike the weather which is a bit bitter here, this cup has lovely and bright ornate gilding. The cup is in a ‘no 7’ shape and has lovely moulded shaped rim with double spurred pinched handle. It’s genuinely in excellent condition and doesn’t look at all like it was produce 200 years ago. There’s absolutely no sign of usage nor crazing which is rather unusual for a Coalport piece from this period.

I bought this even though I don’t have a matching saucer as felt that it deserves to be cherished.

First up is this stunning Spode coffee cup in London shape dated c.1815. I absolutely love all the details particularly the butterflies that are fluttering amongst the lovely flowers.
