To the untrained eye this probably looks like a curtain that's just been slung over a pretty holdback. In reality? It took lots of manipulating the folds, and a good helping of patience, (there are 2 of them) to achieve this level of gorgeous-ness. And as they're open to both sides, the back had to look just as neat.
Today's fitting took this room another step closer to completion. It's going to be good!

These little rooms are amongst my favourites in this large property we've been working on. The attic has been transformed into the cosiest private apartment, and the relaxed Romans are just the job in the little dormer windows. I'd happily move in wouldn't you?

Not so long ago, these windows were hidden in a dusty, dark, neglected attic. Now, the rooms are nearing completion and looking great (final photos to follow).
These little relaxed Roman blinds are the perfect finishing touch, especially when paired with the vintage trims I discovered in my stash 💫

In the absence of a joiner at today's fitting, I decided to adopt a 'can do it' attitude. So I borrowed some power tools and got on with it myself: drilling holes, fitting tracks and brackets, and attaching the pelmet boxes that I'd upholstered earlier. None of that got captured on film as I was too absorbed in the tasks at hand. So here are some photos of the finished window dressings. All in all, a decent day's work 😁
