This Saturday. The biggest Craft Fayre of the year. Crafters and Producers travel from all over Scotland for this one as well as lots and lots of Locals.
And there's Santa. ###X

Only a few days until our annual Christmas Festival opens its doors at the Nevis Centre with its 60 stalls with local crafters’ quality produce and food and drink specialities as well as Santa’s Grotto, Bouncy Castle and Buskers Corner.

Santa’s Sleighride, pulled by the Cairngorm Rejndeer (the only free range reindeer in the UK) and the Ben Nevis Showstoppers and local Pipe Band will leave Cameron Square at 11am to travel along the High Street and over the Parade Green to the Nevis Centre.

This year Santa will be accompanied by two elves - Erin Greenlees and Liam McTaggart - winners of our Santa’s Elves Competition.

Chris and Nigel have been coming to the market from the start and it is about time we introduced them💚

“Hello. My name is Chris Heardman and along with my husband Nigel moved to Fort William from the West Midlands almost 10 years ago when we both retired, and we would never move back. We managed to get a house that has wonderful 360’ views. We can see over Loch Linnhe, up the Great Glen, over to Achintore Hill and Ben Nevis.

What brought us here? Well just look around at the amazing scenery and the quiet peaceful place that we now live in and you will have your answer.

Back in the West Midlands I was a retail manager of a department store, I’m sure you’ve heard of Wilko’s.

I went to many craft classes when I first arrived in Fort William trying out many different crafts. Decoupage finally got it’s claws into me and once there wouldn’t let go. It has been said that if you stand still long enough, I will try to decoupage you. I search for interesting, shaped items or lovely glass items that can be decoupaged. My most popular makes though are anything with a ‘heiland coo’ on them.”
