🌸ATTIC24 BLOOMTOWN BLANKET CAL🌸

Today I'm sharing the colour palette and yarn I've chosen for the Bloomtown blanket, because oooohhhhh, it's a whole lot of pretty!!

When I was gathering inspiration for this blanket I walked and took photos almost every day for three months. I ended up with more than 200 images and it took many weeks to work through everything and distill my ideas into a workable colour palette of fifteen shades. If you were following me during my Daily May blogging series, you will have seen some glimpses of this work in progress - creating colour palettes is always at the heart of each new blanket design and I'm always so happy when I'm immersed in this process!

The yarn in todays photo is my favourite Stylecraft Yarns Special DK.
There will also be an alternative Bloomtown yarn pack of Yarnsmiths Create DK.
Both of these yarns are premium acrylic and perfect for blanket making. They are soft, vibrant, great to work with, durable, washable and affordable. The Create DK shades can of course easily be matched to Yarnsmiths Merino DK if you want to make a blanket in a natural yarn, but I won't have a merino yarn pack this year.

When the yarn packs launch next month with Wool Warehouse I'll publish the exact colours I've chosen so that you can shop local or dive into your stash.

Thank you so much for all your enthusiasm yesterday when I shared the inspiration with you, I get a little nervous with these things (even after all the years I've been doing it), so it was wonderful to read all your comments and feel the excitement!
