My latest tutorial from the Ignite Academy - The Rooster. After lots of fur and human skin it was nice to dive into a different kind of texture - Feathers! 🐓 More importantly it was nice to dig out some of the bright pencils that I don't tend to use as much!

"The Girl In The Daffodils"
I can finally share this one which has intermittently been on my drawing board for months. I've finally finished today and I can definitely say that I prefer fur to grass! 😁 Do you like her?

26th August is International Dog Day. The purpose of the day is to bring awareness to the condition of animals and to encourage adoption. It aims to help people take better care of their pets and make more responsible choices when it comes to getting or looking after a dog.

I thought that I would share some of the dogs that I have drawn over the last couple of years, in celebration of our furry friends! 🐶

I haven't updated in what seems like forever, but I'm on the home straight with this one! It's been lovely getting out in the garden recently, which is possibly why this one has been taking so long! Have you all been enjoying the sunshine? 🌞

Update on The Girl In The (yet to be seen) Daffodils! 🌼

I've managed to get quite a bit of drawing time in this week, which has been lovely, and I also celebrated my birthday!

I've absolutely loved drawing the denim on this piece, using subtraction techniques, and I'm now around half way through. This has taken just over 20 hours so far I think, with the same again to go!

A preview of my current work in progress - a tutorial with the Bonny Snowdon Academy. Significantly less furry than my usual subjects of choice and quite a bit bigger, at 11"x12"!

I'm loving the denim and that soft baby hair was a steep learning curve! Hopefully I'll manage to capture it!
