Two smaller jobs this week, close to home for a change too!
John and Linda literally live at the end of my street in Ryton. Their kitchen may be few years old but it is still very functional and solid, the doors where in a bit of a sad state and getting worse by the day from water getting in the joints. Unfortunately the type of door was never really going to last because of so many joints for the water to get into the mdf under the vinyl coating. Anyway, lots of filler, sanding and primer later, the doors where flat, solid and looking ready for a coat of paint, Little Greene - Clay in satin.
And we weren't finished there either. The benches where swollen at the joints, again, water getting into the chipboard. Repaired the benches and used something new, Infinity Spray Granite ,and didnt it come up trumps.
Brand new seamless benches in Himalayan granite with a satin finish. Solid, seamless and so bloody effective.
Huge transformation of an older kitchen without the massive upheaval of replacing it.
Next up, a trip over the Tyne to Wylam, wardrobes this time. Katherine and her family had been moved in 4 weeks and contact me literally after they signed on the dotted line.
Nice and straightforward, Katherine knew what she wanted, Farrow and ball - Stiffkey Blue, a colour there where very familiar with from previous homes.
Anyway, very straightforward again, dorrs stripped off and cabinets prepped and painted that morning, bacn to the spray booth to do the doors on the afternoon and refitted the following morning.
