When did our lives get so busy? This morning was such a gorgeous reminder of why I love running flower workshops.
It combines my love of growing things and floristry with working with people and teaching new skills.

Taking a morning to slow down and create together was a joy. Thank you to the wonderful group of ladies who joined me in the garden for today’s hand-tied workshop. And thanks to Steph at for providing us with some extra beauts… the peonies were insane!. ♥️🌸

If you would like to join me for my mid-summer workshop on the 11th July do get in touch.
You wont regret it. ♥️

The tent’s up ready for tomorrow’s hand-tied workshop.
The barn is filling with flowers and lots more to cut tomorrow. I’ve been out and about doing private workshops so far this spring but I always love to hold these lovely mornings in my own happy place. ♥️

You don’t always sell out but when there is one or two things left over it’s always a joy to have it to yourself.

I am always so busy making bouquets for other people that I sometimes forget to take a minute to enjoy them for myself. And it’s useful to see exactly how long the flowers last as that’s a question I always get at the markets… ‘how long will they last?’
With a little care - a change of water, a stem snip after a couple of days and being kept out of direct sun these beauts can last up to 2 weeks. 👌

Would you like some locally grown flowers this weekend?
I’m your woman if you do. 💪🏽
See you at Kingsbridge Farmer’s market alongside lots of other lovely local growers and producers. 9am until 1pm (but often sold out before then 🤞🏽) This week I am also stocking some beautiful pressed flower cards as well as some framed pieces. It’s all things flowery. What’s not to love? 🌸
The Lixton flower stall will be open for Sunday.
Dm me for any orders.

Happy Friday peeps ♥️

January is a bit of a planning month for me. To be honest I love giving My Cutflower Patch a well earned rest but now is the time for planning what I will be growing and when. Especially with some weddings booked this year.

This will be my third season growing here in South Devon. I start the year with a seed spread sheet, lists and all that malarky but by April when it all really kicks off most of that goes out the window as I tend to go with the flow a bit more. ( I think my first year of growing I even made a mood board…. 🙄 blimey.)

I’m trying not to over-order this year as I saved loads of my own seeds last summer. Saved seeds USUALLY germinate much better in my experience and saves money too.
Lovely jubbly.

Any seed savers out there? Or maybe you are a spread sheet planner? 😂 Or even a mood board creator!!!🤣😳
