Good morning everyone! ☀️

Today is opening day at the pop-up shop in Wellington! 🎉

A wonderful group of makers, organised by Caroline Bartlett from Crafting Butterfly , have come together to create Crafting Butterfly & Friends Pop-Up Shop. We all dropped off our stock yesterday and are excited to be trading from the pop-up for the next three weeks.

We hope you'll stop by, have a browse, and perhaps find a little gift or two for yourself, family, or friends. ❤️

You'll discover a fantastic range of handmade treasures, including crochet, decoupage, fused glass, clay jewellery, resin and wire flowers, handmade cards, blind date books, 3D-printed fidgets, and so much more.

What am I working on behind the scenes? 👀

48 mini jars are currently waiting for me! 🌸✨

Before a flower can even go into a jar, I have to add all the tiny beads and drill a hole through every single cork.
And honestly, the cork drilling is probably the worst job of them all 😂 It's messy, creates cork dust everywhere, and getting the hole straight through the middle is surprisingly tricky!

Lots of preparation goes into these little jars before they become the finished dipped flower keepsakes you see. 💕

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet lately… life’s been life-ing 😅 so here’s a photo of our cheeky little man to make up for it 🐾
No idea what time of day he thinks it is 😂 but judging by the wandering and dramatic posing, I’m convinced he’s out searching for a girlfriend that will never, ever be available to him 🤦‍♂️🤣
Go on then — spam me with your pets in the comments 🐶🐱🐰 I need to see everyone’s furry troublemakers!

From a roll of wire to a flower in bloom 🌸
A little glimpse into part of my process —
forming the shape, refining the petals, and dipping each piece by hand. Every flower begins as simple wire before being transformed, attached to a stem, finished with leaves, and finally placed into its own tiny glass jar.
I love seeing these delicate pieces slowly come to life ✨

Spent some time today making these delicate wire dipped leaves — 48 in total 🌿✨
Each one is handmade and will be paired with flowers to create 24 miniature jars. I love seeing all the tiny details come together piece by piece.
These little jars are going to be full of soft florals, shimmer, and a touch of magic 💐
