Anyone want to give this adorable Victorian basket a home? Unfortunately it has a crack in it 😭

It still displays very well (see photos) and glows beautifully, so needs to live out its days where it will be appreciated. It’s 5” tall and 6” long.

Technically this is by an unknown maker although I have my suspicions that it’s a Henry Greener piece, it has a nice design reminiscent of snowflakes. The beaded edges have the odd small chip here and there which I’ve tried to capture in the pictures.

Yours for just £10 plus postage.

SOLD

A Sowerby Iris vase and matching frog 🐸

Do not underestimate the size of this one! It's a massive piece of glass - the vase measures a whopping 10” across! It's approximately 5" tall and has an amazing glow.

The lily and Iris vases are pretty iconic pieces from Sowerby. They first appear (to my knowledge) in the 1933 catalogue and went on to become sales record breakers according to the later pattern books. They were made for at least 7 years (not all uranium), so are quite common, but pieces of this size and condition are definitely harder to come by.

The vase is in lovely condition with no damage of any kind. The frog has a small chip on the top and a fracture underneath as shown, but is completely stable. It sits nicely flush with the top of the vase.

Not only is this vase a lot of glass for the money, but it's also an art deco design classic, destined to appreciate in value for years to come.

£60 to include tracked UK postage with Royal Mail. Worldwide shipping and payment plans are available as always 💚

This is quite a special little piece of glass. As soon as I laid eyes on it at an auction I knew that I needed to bring it back to show you guys.

I believe it's made by Richardson in approximately 1900, given that they made very similar-looking art glass tulips (and the construction techniques are extremely similar), but this is the first time I've ever seen a hyacinth! 🪻 I've done some digging and I can only find a record of one other online, but that one wasn't uranium. This leads me to think it's probably pretty rare - I imagine these delicate pieces got broken frequently and that lots of them are lost to time as a result.

I have done my best to show the beautiful colour and sparkle in the pictures, but you're likely to love it even more in the flesh. It's been expertly made by someone who really understood glass, and the result is a piece that looks great from all angles and in all lights. It is 6 ¼" tall and its maximum width is 3 ½", so this should fit in most cabinets.

There is just one small area of damage which is reflected in the price - one of the green leaves is missing its tip as shown. Hopefully the photos also show that it's easily hidden and really doesn't detract from such a lovely and unique piece of Victorian art glass.

£110 to include tracked UK postage. Worldwide shipping and payment plans are available as always. I don't expect to ever see another of these, much less have the opportunity to buy one, so don't miss out 💚

SOLD 🌶️

Want something to put in your spice cabinet? Look no further 😁

This plate measures 7.5” wide, so is perfect for irradiating small meals like toast and other quick snacks.

It is unmarked and has a wet foot, and came direct from the US via a friend of mine.

The plate is in great condition and probably dates to the 1930s; the only quirks you need to be aware of are some surface marks that look like they might be from cutlery, and some bubbles in the glaze before it was fired, leaving a couple of very tiny unglazed areas (see photos). This is not unusual for these pieces.

£32 plus postage of your choice. Worldwide shipping and payment plans are available 🌍

Just for the avoidance of any doubt, it doesn’t glow. Eat off it at your own risk.

This is the delighted face of someone who accepted his mother’s bribe to come to GGHQ this evening. I promised him a burger from thebbqso downstairs in exchange for letting me sort out more of the glowy glass mountain 😅

He has declared it “the best burger he’s ever had”.

More goodies this evening 💚 To claim a piece, please comment (with the name or number of the piece) on the main thread, NOT under individual photos. I've put details below and have tried to show any important attributes in the photos, but please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions etc.

Details:
1 ⭐ Brockwitz 4900 (4946) pair of candlesticks £20
Lovely candlesticks in the beautiful pale green that Brockwitz do so well, measuring 15.5cm and 15.8cm respectively (one is very slightly taller than the other!). No damage, in absolutely lovely condition, just a small mould crease in one of the candle cups.

2 ⭐ Bagley 6” posy ring £13
I've got loads of British classics in the studio at the moment, and this one is no exception. Quintessential frosted Bagley that glows like nobody's business, this posy ring measures 4" along the inside rim, with the outside rim 5.5" but more like 6" because of its curved sides. 1 ⅜" tall and with absolutely zero damage, but a hint of a graphite mark in one or two places.

3 ⭐ Victorian vaseline opalescent vase £30
Completely adorable and almost certainly made in Stourbridge, this is the ideal piece for anyone struggling with lack of space but addiction to the glow 😅 The vase is 3 ½" tall and 3" wide and is in immaculate condition. It's old, shown by the snapped pontil at the base, and if I had to guess I'd put it at about 1885-1890.

4 ⭐ Sauce boat / jug and underplate by an unknown maker £20
Finishing strong with this lovely thing...I'm really not sure who made it (it's giving me Czech vibes but the measurements are nicest in imperial) so if you know please do share with the class! It is in perfect condition, it's like it's never been used, and the pair together measure 6" long, 4" wide and 3" high. The glow is slightly less bright than tonight's other pieces, but when you're competing with Brockwitz, Stourbridge vaseline and some frosted Bagley, that's hardly a surpise.

Postage of your choice to be added (anyone who bought yesterday or today your boxes are still open so you're welcome to add for no extra charge!) ☺️ Worldwide shipping and payment plans are available as always 💚

Available! A Stolle Niemen art deco uranium ashtray (or a gummy looking Tetris block) 🤩

Pattern 1730, made in Poland and just GORGEOUS. It’s that ethereal vaseline but acid green colour that seems to be alive. I think I might have to do a video for this one as the photos just don’t do it justice.

Approx 14cm x 9cm and in lovely condition with the exception of two shallow flakes missing on one corner; one on the top and one on the side. The photos showing the damage have been taken to accentuate it as much as possible, it’s much less noticeable in real life 😅

£40 to include tracked UK postage. Worldwide shipping and payment plans available as always 🌍
