Super exciting delivery today - mini balls of DK cotton, just £1 each! There's also some extremely cute little animals in the pattern books, I have no idea which to try first. The morning was spent assembling and then trying to find a home for the display unit. It's lower down than I'd like but it was the best place for now. Do come and take a look.

It was so good to see Shell this week and be able to give her a gentle push to challenge herself. It's funny isn't it how some things can be a mental block even when we find others so easy.

Yesterday a lovely jolly customer came in and was looking at the yarn. I turned around and she had gathered this wonderful collection of colours for a blanket!
I need to do a top up order (have been focusing on stocktaking this month) but we have a large proportion of the Wendy Supreme range.
The shop used to sell King Cole Pricewise but I decided to change to Wendy as I can price it lower and how could I resist my namesake? There's still some Pricewise balls reduced to £2 in the basket.

More Giggles! This time a pastel colourway by Emma, who works for me Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I have chosen not to sell pre-made things in The Sewing Box as I'd rather encourage you to have a go yourself, but Emma also has her own business and loves to crochet! Do give her a shout if you're looking for a baby blanket.

Wendy Giggles DK is one of our most popular yarns. I was so pleased to get the full range in with both pastel and bright options (the brights will always be my favourite though). There are now a choice of 21 colourways and whenever possible we stock them all.

Natalie, who works in the watch stall opposite (and now also for me on a Wednesday) has recently learnt to crochet and has already completed her second Giggles blanket. Here it is, and her son is really pleased with it. Well done Our Nat!

I didn't think I could manage to be in the shop all day but I've been able to build up slowly and now with a rota jiggle I'm in all day Tuesdays. I'm having a lovely day today with fellow stallholders here in Eastgate Indoor Market, had some lovely customers and some visits from friends. Feeling rather tired now but in good spirits. New rota means Monday is the day to catch Carol, Wednesday for Nat and Thursday, Friday and Saturday Emma. Hope to see you soon. Wendy

It looks better in thinner yarn but Super Chunky is what I had (plus 56 stitches, 6" rib was quite enough thanks!)

What a week, two of our lowest and one of our highest taking days since I bought the shop last April! I wonder what tomorrow will bring :)

King Cole Firefly Aran is here! It's been really hard to get hold of, but I've managed to get in a pack of each colour along with all the patterns for it. It's so silky soft I can't wait to try it. Come grab some while you can :)
