Most of my cards start exactly like this… random little doodles in a sketchbook ✏️

Then comes the fun part — perfecting them digitally, playing with colours, moving everything around 27 times until the layout finally feels right 😅

I’m thrilled to have been accepted onto the Country Living Marketplace as one of their approved artisans

All my cards start their journey as doodles in a sketchbook before being developed into beautiful, affordable stationery. My inspiration often comes from the Berkshire Downs countryside where my studio overlooks The Ridgeway. And all the stationery is printed in the same tiny village, making Tall Order a true “countryside” product.

I would love for you to go take a look. It’s a treasure trove of artisan gifts and products.

Such fun to sit next to a spinner with one of my cards on display. The notecard packs are looking pretty on the shelves as always. Great to see that the florals are selling well. Florals are always popular at this time of year.

When I opened my Etsy shop over five years ago, it started with a handful of giraffe designs and a simple idea — to turn my artwork into beautiful stationery people could use to connect with the people they care about.

This week I reached 20,000 sales on Etsy, which feels like a huge milestone. Building this business from nothing has taken a lot of time, persistence and hard work, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see it grow year after year.

Every single order, message, review and recommendation has helped make this possible, and I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported my Etsy shop, website, Faire store and wholesale along the way.

My illustration journey didn’t start with cards. It actually started with 3 children’s books that I painted for my boys while we were living around the world.

My first book, An Alphabet of Africa, was painted in Johannesburg. My eldest son used to take long lunchtime naps, and during those quiet hours I painted an alphabet filled with African animals and tribespeople.

Whe my second son was born in Australia, I created Australia 123 - a counting book full@of Aussie animals to count.

And my youngest has his own little rhyming story about a chameleon who can’t change colour like the others…but learns to love what makes him different.

All three books were painted with love and joy.
