HOME EDUCATION: URBAN ART — VISUAL IDENTITY

What makes your artwork yours?

Our next five-week course gives young artists aged 10–16 space to explore their ideas, discover their style and build creative confidence.

We’ll experiment with design, collage, paint and mark-making before spending the final two sessions creating an A2 poster using paints, stencils, pens and collage. Plenty of time to try things out, develop ideas and make something personal to take home.

New faces and returning artists welcome—no previous experience needed!

Busy weekend at the Studio this week. I will be open Saturday 9:30 - 16:00 and Sunday 10:00 - 14:00 as part of Gosport Art & Tea Trail there are still a couple of spaces left for Doodle Club tomorrow (book online via creative sessions) Sea Through Glass is in the Studio tomorrow running her Glass workshops and will be bring some hand made glass art with her to sell (Check the video)

Morning everyone — the studio is all set up and ready for the first Create: Home Education Studio session today!

We’re beginning Project 001: Urban Identity, a structured five-week creative project for home-educated young people aged 10–16.

Across the project, we’ll be exploring:

Week 1 — Urban Alphabets
Exploring different lettering shapes and developing a personal alphabet style.

Week 2 — Character Design
Creating an original urban character with its own personality and identity.

Week 3 — Graffiti Lettering
Discovering tags, throw-ups, pieces and wildstyle, then using the alphabet developed during Week 1.

Week 4 — Stencil Design
Designing and creating an original stencil before experimenting with pre-made stencils and paint.

Week 5 — Final Urban Identity Artwork
Combining lettering, characters, stencils, spray paint and paint markers to create a finished canvas board.

The full project begins today, but I now have a limited number of places available for weekly drop-ins. Each session works as part of the wider project but can also be enjoyed as its own standalone creative experience.

Sessions take place on Wednesdays from 9:30–11:00am at The Studio in Gosport.

Individual sessions are £17.50, with all materials included. Spaces are limited, so advance booking is essential.

STARTING TOMORROW — CREATE: HOME EDUCATION STUDIO

Tomorrow marks the beginning of Project 001: Urban Identity, a structured five-week creative programme for home-educated young people aged 10–16.

Across the project, learners will explore:

• Urban alphabets
• Original character design
• Tags, throw-ups and graffiti lettering
• Designing and creating stencils
• A final Urban Identity artwork combining everything they have developed

Sessions take place at The Studio on Wednesdays from 9:30–11:00am:

There is no session on 14 October.

Book the complete five-session project for £75 and receive a free sketchbook, or book individual sessions for £17.50 each.

The sessions connect to form one complete project, but each one can also be enjoyed as a standalone creative experience.
