Refurbished interior of Victorian living room. Orange mural inspired by a Josef Albers painting Homage to the Square: “Festive” (1967). This was sprayed onto soften the look. Speaker cable installed behind walls for neatness. Custom brackets made for a fixed 10° tilt down. Lots, of preparation and repairs. To create a focal point. A large piece of live edge elm from (Fyne Woods Dunoon) fitted on a floating bracket above where fire would have been. Wall colour Farrow & Ball, Stone Blue No.86.

One of 7 refinished doors previously covered in ply to look ‘modern’. New ironmongery and mouldings to replace lost parts. Epoxy wood repairs. All finished in a beautiful hard wearing Matt paint.

Colour drenching a small Georgian passage in Farrow & Ball Babouche, replacing missing bullnose features.

It’s common for plasterers to remove traditional rounded corners in old property. Replacing beading back to something like the original adds authenticity and warmth.

Improvement of new build livingroom and dinning room. The style of ‘colour drenching’ was used, same colour on ceiling and walls to create a boutique quality to the room. The customer likes neutral, warm, natural colours, so the choice was a perfect match. One of the intriguing things about colour is how it reacts to light. The same colour (egyptian cotton) appears to be 2 different colours between both rooms. Warm in a south west facing room, and cooler in a north east room, this creates an absorbing, natural looking contrast. Rooms left with a clean looking finish!

Improvement of a poorly finished arch on a new build. Just by adding bullnose beads I was able to soften the look.
