The part of owning a wax melt business i don't really talk about...
From the outside it probably looks like melting pretty wax, adding gorgeous fragrances, making cute shapes & packing up lovely orders.
And yes… I LOVE those parts
But there’s another side that you don’t always see! The late nights pouring wax when everyone else in the household is asleep.
The constant cleaning because somehow wax gets EVERYWHERE😂
The testing, tweaking & retesting when a scent just doesn’t perform how i want it to.
The rising cost of wax, fragrance, packaging & postage ect.
The endless photos, videos, social media posts & trying to convince an algorithm that my little business exists!
The orders that take hours to prepare, the admin, the stock checks, the labels, the spreadsheets, the emails, i mean the list goes on & on!
And the occasional “What am I actually doing?!” moment😂 i have alot of them just recent🙈
There are days when it feels like i'm putting my heart, time & money into something & wondering if anyone even notices.
But then…
Someone places an order!
Someone tells me how amazing their home smells!
Someone comes back & orders again!
Someone recommends me to a friend!
Someone tells me that thier melts have become part of their little self-care routine!
And suddenly, all those difficult moments feel so worth it💗
Running a small business isn’t always pretty, It’s messy, It’s stressful, It’s expensive & It’s exhausting.
BUT it’s also incredibly rewarding to know that something I created with my own two hands is making its way into people's homes🥹
