The Hope Collection

A just before summer Luci of Fodder | Handmade Ceramics & Homewares Store asked me and 10 other ceramicists to make a small batch of work with the theme of Hope, in collaboration with This Thing With Ceramics the collection will go on display in Luci’s Hampstead store this week.

These bottle vases are lightly carved with gingko leaves.

It runs from today until the 14th of September. They are available online as well.

As a charity collection, 20% of every sale goes to Hope Unlimited Charitable Trust.

Thank you so much Luci for asking me it’s been lovely to be involved! 🖤

I’ve popped some reduction gas fired mugs in the online shop. Not one is the same, they fired hotter and they all look great. I kept one for my studio mug. Link to buy is on my profile.

🌳 PLANT A TREE IN PALESTINE 🌳

☀️LAST DAY OF RAFFLE £2 A TICKET☀️

We are raffling three handmade ceramic pots inspired by the Palestinian Jarrah, a traditional vessel used to carry water, thrown by me and I invited my lovely friend Manal to the studio to decorate the pots with slip designs from her ideas.

The designs are inspired by the symbolism of olive trees, poppies, and traditional patterns. Also the Arabic for free Palestine, sumud (steadfastness) and Handala.

Each pot is completely one of a kind and has a water cup to match.

The donations will go to Stop the JNF – Plant a Tree in Palestine - when Manal was in Palestine, she was actively involved in the Plant a Tree Campaign and knows many of the farmers who benefited and continue to benefit from the campaign.

Raffle rules:
1. Each entry is £2, so £10 for 5 entries no limits.
2. Go to Plant A Tree and make a donation.
3. Fill in the form in my bio.
4. Winner will be notified by email, raffle announced at the end of June.

I wanted to take part in caraguthrieceramics woodfiring for Palestine but the timing wasn’t right so I was inspired to do my own.

More info and how to donate is in the link in my bio.

Thank you,

Kirsty & Manal

Friday was a good day and I popped down to see Fiona and pick up some gorgeous tulips that look like baby cabbages so cute with big floppy heads.

Had a fantastic day yesterday at thanks so much for popping by even though the weather was horrid, sort it out Dave!
